Jewelmer Joaillerie celebrated over three decades of history through an intimate gathering at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila on the 20th of October.
Inspired by the well-known Filipino proverb: “Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan” (“He who does not look back at his roots will never achieve his destiny”), “A Journey to the Extraordinary” was dedicated to the men and women who have made Jewelmer Joaillerie the internationally renowned brand it is today. It was a return to their roots, so to speak—bringing together the best of French and Filipino cultures that are at the heart of Jewelmer.
VIP guests were ferried to the event in a customized Rolls Royce Wraith and treated to a meal specially prepared by The Peninsula Manila. The meal was accompanied by the finest French champagne by Veuve Cliquot at the Rigodon Ballroom, which was transformed to an evening in Paris as “an” homage to the brand’s French identity.
The program, which was hosted by Ms. Issa Litton, featured the world premiere of Jewelmer’s new corporate video that shares the story of the brand’s journey since its inception in 1979. This was followed by the launch of Jewelmer Joaillerie’s 2016 Spring Summer Collection in a French-inspired presentation featuring 11-year old ballerina Tessa Tordesillas who opened the show. Jewelmer’s latest collection was worn by top Filipina models garbed in a special collection inspired by the Parisian aesthetic. Guests danced the night away in big band music provided by the Amp Band.
VIP guests included Mr. Johnny Litton, social doyenne Tessa Prieto-Valdes, style icons Daphne Oseña-Paez, Tweetie De Leon, Solenn Heussaff and celebrities like Tim Yap, and Matteo Guidicelli.
A thanksgiving for the past and a homage to a continuing tradition of excellence and beauty, this year’s gala is yet another memorable milestone in Jewelmer’s continuing journey to the extraordinary.
