Continuing on its celebration of three decades of history, Jewelmer Joaillerie brings the Queen of Gems, the golden South Sea pearl, to the Queen City of the South with “A Journey to the Extraordinary”, held at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa on the 31st of March.
The gala, in partnership with the exclusive luxury resort, was the first of its kind in Cebu. It was an intimate thanksgiving celebration with the Cebuanos, dedicated to the men and women who have helped make Jewelmer Joaillerie the internationally-renowned brand it is today. It was a return to their roots, so to speak— bringing together the best of French and Filipino cultures that are at the heart of Jewelmer.
VIP guests and Cebu’s crème de la crème of society, as well as press from Manila were treated to a 6-course meal specially prepared by Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa at the Mactan Ballroom Foyer, which was transformed to an evening in Paris as an homage to the brand’s French identity.
The program, hosted by Ms. Issa Litton, featured Jewelmer’s new corporate video that shares the story of the brand’s journey since founded in 1979 by Filipino businessman Mr. Manuel Cojuangco and French perliculturist Mr. Jacques Branellec. This was followed by a fashion show featuring Jewelmer Joaillerie’s 2016 Spring Summer Collection, worn by top models garbed in special collections by renowned fashion designers Rhett Eala and Mia Arcenas.
Guests danced the night away in big band music provided by the Amp Band.
VIP guests included Amparito Lhullier, Rosebud Sala, Annie Aboitiz, Jimmy and Bernie Aboitiz, Herve and Tess Lambert, and Mr. Johnny Litton.
A thanksgiving for the past and a homage to a continuing tradition of excellence and beauty, this year’s Jewelmer Shangri-La gala is yet another memorable milestone in Jewelmer’s continuing journey to the extraordinary.
